Anger Foot x Grade
While building hype for the PS5 port of Anger Foot, a Cape Town-made indie game with sneaker DNA baked into its identity, I came up with the idea to turn that link into a real-world drop.
In a worldwide first, I designed, negotiated, and brought to life the Anger Foot x Grade Africa collaboration, finally giving the game the sneaker partner it always deserved. I customised Grade’s GR-1 into a collector’s piece with Anger Foot branding across logos, embroidery, and game-specific details, then built out the full unboxing experience to match. The release included bespoke packaging, custom insoles, neon laces, and a hidden stash pocket in the tongue loaded with exclusive extras like stickers, a QR unlock, a secret message card, and an Anger Foot keychain.
The result was part merch, part artefact, and part cultural statement, a tangible extension of the game’s world you could actually wear.
